“Someone must have slandered Josef K., for one morning, without having done anything truly wrong, he was arrested.”
Franz Kafka, “The Trial”
BILJANA SIMIĆ
Due to economic instability in which the country found itself for many years, like many of my generation I was faced with the problem of finding adequate employment. I changed jobs frequently – good ones because they were for a limited period of time, and bad ones, where the employers could not fulfill their obligations to the employees.
To my great pleasure, I met Mr. Tomislav Đorđević in 2007, when I became part of his closer business circle. His business achievements in addition to many business partners who respect and value him highly speak better than words, that this is a man of exceptional creativeness, a top-notch professional with uncommon energy and ideas. It wouldn’t do him justice to mention only the business successes of Mr. Đorđević , while not reflection on his human qualities and sense of humanity. Mr. Đorđević has often helped those in need of assistance, be it an individual or an institution, while never taking the credit for it – a characteristic of great men.
What I would like to point out from my own example is the maximum correctness that I have had from Mr. Đorđević as an employer, which in practice in the private sector is more and more scarce. Namely, the category of working women who are planning on becoming mothers is becoming increasingly undesirable for employers. In my instance it was not the case, on the contrary, I went on maternity leave with no fear that I will lose my job and I received the compensation provided for such a leave on a regular basis.
I believe that this country would be much more fortunate, successful, and better off, were there more people with a professional profile such as that of Mr. Tomislav Đorđević. I want to emphasize that it is my great honor to know Mr. Đorđević as well as his family, who are always the support and backing in his progressive ideas.
