Career in Iskra Delta
In 1982 Tomislav Đorđević accepts an offer to move to Slovenian "Iskra Delta" and establishes its representative office in Vojvodina. Starting out as the only employee, in time he grew the office into one of the most profitable centres of Iskra Delta, with over 100 employees. He opened and developed the market in COMECON (the Soviet Union, Poland, Czechoslovakia, East Germany) for Iskra Delta's business systems.

He designed, negotiated and coordinated the export, manufacture, installation, implementation and maintenance of complex information systems in COMECON countries and China.

He spearheaded the design of integrated information systems on the DEC platform (for state administration, banks, manufacturing and service companies, computer controls for manufacturing and food processing, etc.)

He organised and implemented the first project in the world for complete IT support in a winter sports competition with a team of Iskra Delta’s leading IT professionals (for the winter Universiade in Czechoslovakia in 1987).

Parallel to his job at Iskra Delta, from 1984 to 1988 he worked with the Institute for Industrial Systems (Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad) as the designer of information systems for a large number of enterprises in Vojvodina (RO “JUGOALAT” Novi Sad, RO “Planteks” Plandište, RO “Istra” Kula, RO “Arts” Bačka Topola, etc.)

The following people tell us about Tomislav’s work in this period: Janez Škrubej, Đorđe Mitrović, Nikola Laćarac, Željko Jakšić and Vladislav Hadžija.
