“Someone must have slandered Josef K., for one morning, without having done anything truly wrong, he was arrested.”
Franz Kafka, “The Trial”
BRANISLAV RADOMIROVIĆ
As a young trainee – engineer, I was employed in Meridian Bank in December 2002, just a few days prior to the beginning of one of the largest infrastructural projects in the history of Serbian banking system (transition of domestic currency payment operations from the Institute for Operational payments to business banks via the RTGS system (real time gross settlement) of the National bank of Serbia). What i experienced in those days and months with my colleagues in Meridian bank – the dedication, commitment to the client, teamwork and colleagues supporting each other, and above all, the superhuman efforts that went into completing this project – is what, in later years, became a personal business leitmotif for all the projects in which I participated.
The experience I gained at the very start of my job at Meridian bank working directly with the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Tomislav Đorđević, has, in a certain manner, determined my professional carrier and motivated me for further advancement to become what I am today.
I must admit that it is a unique case that a company Chairman, with incredible life and business experience, is training and working for months alongside a trainee, 14-16 hours per day. That is what I experienced during my work in Meridian bank and I am immensely grateful for this support to Mr. Đorđević.
During my career in Meridian bank I was trained by the best people, I was very proud to be part of a successful company and an exceptional team of people who succeeded to integrate the bank into one of the largest banking system in the world, Credit Agricole SA.
There were numerous situations in which the professional experience and integrity in business of Mr. Tomislav Đorđević motivated me to work more, to strive above the limits that I thought were given to me. As an example, I may say that while I was working in Meridian bank, I completed another five year graduate degree, completed specialist studies, enrolled into postgraduate studies, completed numerous courses in the National bank of Serbia, and in foreign banks. In a word, in my business carrier, I achieved everything that could be achieved in such a respectable institution.
I am honestly of the opinion that my work in Meridian bank Novi Sad, i.e. my work with Mr. Tomislav Đorđević, was my professional determinant, in the sense that in those years i learnt the business codex which i followed in all international companies where I worked after that.
Within my business biography http://rs.linkedin.com/in/bradomorovic it can be seen that one very significant part of my business carrier is related to the Meridian Bank Novi Sad, that I advanced from the position of trainee to the post of Executive Director of the Bank, however, I repeat again that if it was not for the great effort and support that I got from my colleagues, and especially Mr. Tomislav Đorđević, it could not definitely be the case. Relentless work, positive criticism and above all adherence to all procedures and work rules of the Bank are the things that I am immensely grateful for.
Once again, I would like to say thank you to all those people who gave me support and finally gave me an opportunity to work for and work with one of the most important business people that I have had the chance to encounter, Mr.Tomislav Đorđević.
Respectfully,
Branislav Radomirović
